Born on January 7, 1999, in Bournemouth, England, Hardie relocated as a child to Perth, Western Australia, where his passion for cricket and the outdoors began. As an only child, he credits his parents for nurturing both his athletic talents and broad interests, including football and fishing.

Domestic Breakthroughs

Hardie’s early promise surfaced on the national stage with the Australia U‑19 squad in 2018, before a serious injury sidelined his World Cup aspirations . Undeterred, he quickly bounced back later that year playing for Cricket Australia XI—earning 4/50 with the ball and 86 with the bat against a touring Indian side at the SCG.
