Noor Ahmad, was born in Khost, Afghanistan, on January 3, 2005. He is the youngest of eight siblings. Noor was raised in a modest, close-knit family in the Lakan Spinki Bori region by parents who placed a strong emphasis on discipline and education. Despite the lack of particular public information on his parents, it is evident that they supported him unconditionally from an early age, making sacrifices to allow their son to pursue his cricketing ambition.

Early Life & Rise in Spin

Noor became an immediate star in Afghanistan's domestic system. Prior to making his international debut against Zimbabwe on June 14, 2022, he made his first-class debut for Kabul Region in April 2019. On November 30, 2022, he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka. He strengthened his place in the national team by playing a supporting role as Afghanistan advanced in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

IPL Breakout & 2025 Heroics

Noor's career peaked in the IPL 2025 after early stints with teams like the Gujarat Titans (2023) and Durban's Super Giants (2025 SA20). The left-arm wrist-spinner, who was acquired by Chennai Super Kings (CSK), was a sensation in the IPL. He scored a remarkable 4/18 in his maiden game against the Mumbai Indians.

Noor maintained his supremacy at Eden Gardens with a crucial 4-for against KKR and a 3/36 session against RCB. Noor, who is only 20, has already established himself as a key spinner for CSK, frequently dominating the middle overs and flourishing on India's chepauk twisting pitch. With his combination of late turn and crisp drift, he bowls fast wristspin at rates ranging from 87 to 92 kph, deceiving top-order batsmen like Virat Kohli, Tilak Varma, and Suryakumar Yadav. Coaches and teammates like Ruturaj Gaikwad and MS Dhoni have commended his maturity, flexibility, and composure under duress.
