Gill's family values are at the heart of his success story. In order to encourage his son's goal, his father, Lakhwinder Singh, a farmer and cricket lover, moved the family to Mohali and constructed a pitch on their farm. Keart Gill, his mother, provided emotional support and assisted him in striking a balance between notoriety and modesty. Shahneel Gill, his older sister, is still one of his staunchest supporters and is frequently spotted applauding from the stands.
